Say Goodbye .

Hello, everyone. The time stole by like an arrow! When I took this Essay class at first time, I was nervous about writting an essay. However, I like writting an essay now. I think Essays are very helpful to develop English ability.  When I was writting a new essay, I was agonized about grammar and vocabularies, structure of my essay.  Yes, you know sometimes Essay working bother me. But I'm very satisfied with this Essay class. Especially, I like reading other students' essays and replying to comments.  I really wish everybody who took this essay class gets good goals. Bibimbap burger hits New York

▲ Bibimbap Burger

Bibimbap burger is spread widely and gets tremendous popularity in New York,USA. It was made by Angelo Sosa,an American chef. Also, The burger won top honors in a burger contest and many gourmets recognized it. The burger is harmonized with beef and vegetables, an egg, Korean source 'Gochujang'.  Bibimbap is originally Korean food. It's very nutritional for human health because it contains various nutrient. Angelo Sosa had the idea from Bibimbap. Many American people couldn't eat the original bibimbap, because it just was not to their taste. Angelo Sosa use that point and combined Korean bibimbap and American burger. Angelo Sosa's restaurant serves another Korean food, such as Bulgogi, Shikhae . 

I think the burger is so good for well-being life. Most burgers are fast food, so it's not good for health. Bibimbap burger changed this problem. It's more nutritional than before. Also, American can feel Korean food. Because of the bibimbap burger, they can know about Korea cuisine culture. The burger can give many advantages both Korea and USA. 

I wish it will be more popular in USA , just not New York.

Vapino VS Mr.pizza

  Many people enjoy Italian food such as a pizza, pasta. I like Italian food very much,too. When I want to eat some Italian food, I go to 'Vapino' or 'Mr.pizza'. Both of them are so delicious and convenience to me, but they have very different atmosphere.

 Both of them are chain store, but Mr.pizza is more popular and spread than Vapiano. Vapiano is in Gangnam and Cheongnyangni. Just two stores.  Mr. pizza is spread everywhere. Another similar way is
'Self - Service'.  We have to bring own dishes ourselves in the restaurants, but Mr.pizza is not 'All Self - Service', there are half-self-service. If we ordered salad bar, we have to bring some salad which we want as 'Self - Service' except the others. The main dishes like pizza or pasta are served by servers. Now, 'Vapiano' is operationg as 'All-Self-Service'.

 Despite their similarities,'Vapiano' and 'Mr.pizza' are very different. 'Vapiano' is more silence and luxury than 'Mr. pizza'.  Many people enjoy their own free time. Most customers came from offices nearby 'Vapiano'.  Therefore, most customers wear suits. On the other hand, 'Mr.pizza' is more convenient store. The atmosphere of 'Mr.pizza' is brignt and full of energy. Most people enjoy Italian food with their friends or family.  Another different way is 'The ways of pay'. 'Mr.pizza' is same with nomal restaurant. There is using the bill. However, 'Vapiano' is using a card. If we go there, we can take a Vapiano's card for each person. When we order a dish to relevant section table, the chef of the section enter the price. It is very useful when we do dutch treat. Last different way is 'Menu' . The main menu of 'Mr.pizza' is pizzas. There has other menu such as some tomatoe source-spaghetti, fried potatoes,but most people do not often eat them in 'Mr.pizza'. Also, The pizza was transformed to satisfy Korean's taste. In contrast, 'Vapino' is came from Europe. So, dishes are original taste. They have 4sections Pizza,Pasta,Salad,Drinks. When we choice the menu and then go to the relevant section, we can order to the chef.

 Those are the similarities and differences between 'Vapiano' and 'Mr.pizza'. When I want to enjoy a delicious pizza with vitality mood, I go to Mr.pizza. On the other hand, when I want to enjoy various Italian food and wine with quiet,simple mood, I go to 'Vapiano'. Both of them have each nice attration. 

Comparison between Seoul and London

   Most people know about Seoul and London because there are the capital cities. Seoul is in S.Korea,Asia and London is in UK,Europe.  The cities are in different each country and far from each other, so people think that Seoul and London have many different things like other countries's cities, such as culture, weather, food,etc. When I was in London, I felt many gaps and different things with Seoul. However, I found some similar things.
  I'll tell about the capital city. Everyone knows that Seoul and London are the capitals. Because of that reason, many important facilities and institutions in there. Also, public transportation is well-developed.
  The population of both cities is about ten million, so there are so complicated and crowded.
  The weather is so different between Seoul and London. The precipitation of Seoul is higher than London,but London is often rainy. On the other hand, both of them have clear four seasons.
  Food is able to distinguish London from Seoul. I remember London's food was not good. It's kind of fast food. Their staple is 'Potatoes(boiled)' and burgers, sandwiches,etc. They sometimes enjoy just boiled vegetable. but, Seoul has a lot of complexed dishes. They are so healthier than London's fast food. The staple of Seoul is 'Rice'.
 Last, London and Seoul have a river.  Seoul has 'The Han river', London has 'The Thames river'.

   Those are different or similar things between Seoul and London. Whether Seoul or London, I love where I am.  No matter where I am.

Illegal immigrants? It's illegal!

 Do we have to control restrictions of illegal immigrants? I said, 'No!'

Illegal immigrants are overflowing in S.Korea. More and More illegal immigrants dream of 'Korean Dream' and come to Korea.  Because of that reaeon, many problems are coming up.  For example, an illegal immigrant from china committed murder in An-San . It was a terrible mutilation muder case. After the terrible case, An-San became a paradice of illegal immigrants. Most Korean people have avoided going there at night. In addition, sexual violences from illegal immigrants have occured frequently. In other words, many crimes are increasing by illegal immigrants; however, they are not afraid police, because many religious groups try to defend their crime.
Another problem is getting jobs. Most illegal immigrants can get a job easily, because their labor cost is cheaper than Korean. Before illegal immigrants came to korea, most poor korean can work at 3D jobs. But, Poor korean can't work at 3D jobs after illegal immigrants came to Korea. Unskilled koreans are hard to get a job now.

Of course, some people said, 'It's their human rights. We have to help them. If we do not help them, they can't live anymore.'  Yes, It's an important thing,too. We can't stop that they come to Korea. It's their freedom,but illegal immigrants are illegal.  If they want to come to Korea, they can come in any legitimate way. If they come in any legitimate way, they can't crime anymore. Many problems from illegal immigrants will be disappeared than before.

He Is A Lucky Man!

I remember it was the most awful experience.

When I was going to Gang-Nam to meet my friends with a delicious cake because of my friend's birthday, I saw a terrible sight in the subway station.

I took a subway from Beom-Gye station, the subway didn't move to go. I didn't have no regard about that, because I thought it was a just machanical problem. 5 minutes later... It didn't move... 10 minutes later... It didn't move at all.... 15 minutes later, I knew something was wrong. Suddenly, I could hear an annoucement about the problem. 

 "Attention please. We can't move now because of the emergency situation. It's a kind of an accident of a person. I'm so sorry for long-delayed subway. If you are busy now, Please use another transportation. Thank you."

An accident of a person?! I was astounded by the announcement, and then I came out from the subway to take a bus. When I was about to go up the stairs, I saw rescue team and many people crowded.

Some people said, " I think he died..", " His head was caught between the subway and screen door.", "I know he was drunken." ..I could analogize the whole out of a part. A man was drunken. When the subway was arriving, he ran towards the moving subway, and then his body and head were sucked into furrow.

I was worried him, but he was rescued quickly by a miracle. He was alived !

I and many people breathed a sigh of relif.

I was taken aback by the accident. Anyway, he is a lucky man.

                    

                                       

Welcome To Thailand

Have you ever visited  Thailand ?

Thailand is a interesting and beautiful country I think.

When I was a 21 years old , I have visited Thailand for 6days as just a trip with my friends.

 1st day, We were in Pataya. The beautiful beaches like an emerald are in there. I could swim all day long at leisure. Also, most hotels in Thailand have blue and clean swimming pools.  because of that reason, I used to be fed up with swimming when my friend said like this, ' Hey! Let's go to the swimming pool ( or a beach)'.

If you really really really  like swimming, leave to Thiland right now. You can swim and swim, and then swim continuously.

2nd day, we went to the beach again !  but we experienced another fun thing. It was a parachute that can be flied by a fast and small boat. After I worn the equipment of a parachute, I looked like a wooden robot.

I had to walk awkwardly with a thud and my friends laughed loudly.  

 However, I started to fly with a parachute, I felt my heart was overflowing with joy.

Emerald beach was under my foot and the placid waves seemed to look at me.

The rests of days in Thailand, I left to Bangkok from Pataya. Bankok was like Seoul.

Many buildings were jam-packed and sparkled brightly at night.

Foods in a night market was so delicious with cheap prices. Many B.B.Qs of chicken and pork, beef with sweet sauce lured us, we ate away them like doing dish - washing.

When I think about the B.B.Q, it gets my mouth watering.

Yes, steve jobs who I respect .

Steve Jobs is a CEO of 'Apple'.

    I've been having respect him since I started studying 'Design',because he has 3great elements that I need. 

      The 3 great elements are ' his thought, his business strategy, his skill to cope.

           First of all, he has remarkable thought.
        He brought about Design Inovation. It's come from his different thinking. He always be different from other CEOs. Most CEOs tried to design something that consumers want, but steve made 'Design' first, and then suggested it to consumers.
        Because of that reason, many consumers are crazy about his  products.

          Second of all, he's good at management.
       Many CEOs are swayed by consumer's opinion, but he believed his intuition.
       His instuition always be accepted from consumers. He did everything.
        'Simple' was his right answer.

           Finally, he can cope with everything.
        He is sensitive to fast changes of trend. He knows what we want , what we need.
        Also, he spent hardship of his childhood,but he didn't give up and succeeded.


         That's all about reasons of  my respect. It's a definitely fact that he is a great person.
       In so far as I study Design, I can't help thinking he is a good model to me.

I live in Anyang.
I'm a student of Seoul National University of Science and Technology,South Korea .
My major is Industrial Design, so I'm interested in sketching and drawing something.
I'm going to graduate my univ, 2012. ( I'm a senior.)
My plan is 'Traveling New York' in this summer vacation with my friend.
